Vintage Photo Series: Robert Stack

In this edition of the ‘Vintage Photo Series’ we take a look at Robert Stack, an actor that always told it like it is and could be seen as nothing but a straight shooter!

Throughout his career, Stack became ‘Untouchable’ when he took the role of Eliot Ness in a show portraying the ongoing battle between gangsters and a special squad of federal agents in the Prohibition-era Chicago.

Marrying actress Rosemarie Bowe (see image) in 1956, he went onto parody his own persona in comedies such as Airplane! (1980) and BASEketball (1998).

Some say his ability to act convinced audiences that he hated leaving mysteries unsolved!
